Bran Broth Home Remedy for Lung Spots

Perhaps the most effective home remedy for lung spots, bran broth is believed to renew the entire lung. People in the Danube Valley used to drink bran broth daily and as much as they could to alleviate lung spots. Here is how you can make the simple fermented bran broth, also called borș in Romania and borscht in other parts of Eastern Europe.

Ingredients

  • 300 g of wheat bran
  • 150 g corn flour
  • 8 g of fresh yeast (cake yeast) or 2 g of dry yeast
  • 3 liters water
  • wild thyme (optional)
  • lovage leaves (optional)

Preparation

  1. Put the corn flour, the yeast, and the bran in a 3 liters jar, and add a little mildly lukewarm water.
  2. Cover and set aside for about 30 minutes, until the yeast starts to proof a little.
  3. Now add the lovage and thyme leaves if you have any at your disposal (these herbs are optional, just for extra flavor).
  4. Fill the jar up with the rest of the warm water, boiled and chilled, but not boiling, or too hot, so as to not “kill the yeast”.
  5. Mix everything well with a wooden spoon (do not use metal utensils!)
  6. Seal the jar and leave it in a warm place; the hotter it is, the faster the fermentation takes place.
  7. Mix several times a day with a wooden spoon.
Home Remedy for Lung Spots with Borsch - Fermented Bran Broth
Borș is a fermented bran broth from Romania, that is traditionally used to make ciorba, a traditional soup dish with legumes, chicken, and noodles.

The bran broth usually turns sour in 2-3 days, sometimes even after 24 hours. Strain when it is sour enough (taste it) and pour it into bottles that you store in the pantry, in a cool, dark spot. You can reuse the bran and cornflour 2-3 times, just add yeast and repeat the procedure. Keep in mind to never use hot water, but only about 40°C (104°F) in temperature, always boiled and chilled. The more fermented wheat bran you drink a day, the better. This is such a simple folk remedy.

Alongside the bran broth remedy, follow a 2 weeks propolis and honey treatment. For this, have 1 tablespoon of bran broth with honey and 14-20 drops of propolis (8 drops for kids). One hour before and one hour after taking this medicine do not drink water or have any other liquids. Pause the cure for 2-4 weeks, then restart the cure once again. This simple addition will boost the benefits of the bran broth remedy even more and is such an amazing home remedy for lung spots.

Hi, Bonny! Usually, people have used this remedy until they have seen improvements in their lung spots, and they have done the propolis and honey remedy at the same time, to help boost the benefits of the bran broth remedy. The fact that you’ve quit smoking is the best thing you could have done in your situation, congrats! If you have any salt mines near you or can go to a spa where they have salt rooms, breathing in that air is very healing for the lungs and the entire respiratory tract. Eat as healthy as you can, fruits and vegetables predominantly, drink lots of water and you can heal. Please consult with a naturopath for exact treatment. Much health to you!

I have made the brain broth but very difficult to consume as the smell is really, really terrible. Can you advise what I may have done wrong before I try to make another batch? I did use instant dry yeast in lieu of active or plain dry. Could this be my problem? Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Edie! Yes, instant dry yeast may alter the bran broth (borș) recipe, so it is best to try with plain dry yeast of fresh yeast (cake yeast). The taste of borș for those unfamiliar with it may be quite unpleasant at first, and it may take some time to adjust to it. You may find ready-made borș in Eastern European shops, since this is a staple fermented drink in Romania, Moldova, and other neighboring countries. I also recommend that you try the honey and propolis remedy alongside, to make the most of both of them. I also recommend that you try the lung cleansing remedy here, quit smoking (if you are a smoker – I have published a remedy for it here), and avoid air pollutants (perfumes, cleaning products, cosmetics, paint, etc). Go outdoors in the woods as much as possible, at the seaside, or visit salt mines. Much health to you!

Dear Andrea,
Thank you so much!! I greatly appreciate!! I will definitely take your advice and look for ready made so I can taste and smell what is should be and then try making it again with the dry yeast. And as far as the daisies, it does not surprise me as I truly believe everything created by God on this beautiful Earth has a purpose so will definitely search for them. Thank you again and God Bless You for doing what you can to assist others in natural healing.
