1. Natural Treatments for Burns with Eggs

Although few people know this, egg yolks and egg whites are perhaps the best natural treatments for burns, no matter the type of burn. Use only sterile tools to prepare and apply these remedies to the burn. Here are four ways in which you can use raw eggs to heal burns at home.

  1. Eggs & Olive Oil. Perhaps one of the best ways to treat burns in no time is this. Beat an egg white with a tablespoon of natural olive oil and apply it to the burnt area on the body. The first thing you will notice is that the sting is gone and after an hour or so the redness will also fade away.
  2. Boiled Eggs Remedy. Boil 20 eggs hard. Remove the boiled egg yolks and put them in a clean enameled pot. Use an unused wooden spoon to break and mix the boiled egg yolks in the pot until you obtain a liquid paste. Anoint the burns with this thin paste. In a few days, the natural scarring process will begin and soon the skin will recover completely. One of the best natural treatments for burns.
  3. Eggs Yolks & Butter. Whisk 6 egg yolks with 6 tsp of melted butter until you obtain a paste. Soak a piece of sterile gauze in this paste and wrap it around the burnt areas. Another way to do this is to mix 1 egg yolk with a piece of butter or pork lard, whisk roughly and apply on the burn. Cover with sterile gauze and bandage it to stay in place.
  4. Egg Whites for Burns. Wash the wound well with hydrogen peroxide using a sterile compress and then apply egg whites on the burn. Let the egg white dry on its own and don’t cover the wound. After it has dried, you can bandage it loosely. Repeat the procedure twice a day, in the morning and evening.

2. Natural Sunflower Oil Balm for Burns

Heat up 250 ml of sunflower oil in a pan over the fire. When the oil is heated up, add 100 g of beeswax granules. After the wax has completely melted, pour everything with great care into a pot filled with 3-4 liters of cold water. After it has hardened, remove it from the water. Break the hardened wax into small pieces and put it to melt in another pot, on low heat. When the wax has melted, pour it into another pot filled with cold water to harden it once again. Repeat the process a third time, but this time don’t pour it into the cold water.

After the wax has melted, stir with a wooden spoon or a spatula until it cools down and turns into a balm. You’ll get a 500 ml jar of sunflower oil wax balm that you can keep in the fridge. Clean the burnt areas with sanitary alcohol and then apply a layer of this natural balm. Put a fresh plantain leaf or sterile cling foil on top. Bandage and keep the compress on for the next 24 hours. Repeat the process until you’ve healed completely. If you experience itching that’s a good sign that the balm works for you. This is one of the best natural treatments for burns there is.

3. Elder Bark Decoction Balm for Burns

This simple remedy is a natural balm made with sour cream, elder bark/branches, frankincense, and egg yolks, that helps burns heal faster. Here is how to make it at home. Pour 100 ml sunflower oil into a pan and heat it up. When it has heated up, add 2 tbsp of minced elder branches and temper them in the oil, just like onion. When it has turned brown, remove the elder and a add walnut-sized piece of beeswax and the same amount of frankincense to the pan. Leave the pan aside to cool down.

Whisk 2 egg yolks until they foam up. Add 1 cup of sour cream gradually to the egg mix. Make a paste and pour gradually it into the pan along with the other ingredients, while mixing. Pour the salve into a glass jar or cream container. Use this balm to anoint the burns 2-3 times a day. During this time, the burn wounds will seal and heal almost completely. This is one of the best natural treatments for burns.

4. White Lilac Leaf Remedy for Burns

Put some white lilac leaves to boil until the water blackens. Remove them from the decoction and leave them to cool down a bit. Set the decoction aside. Apply the warm white lilac leaves to the burnt areas and leave them on for 24 hours. You don’t necessarily need to disinfect the area before using the leaves, just apply them right away. Secure the leaves in place with a sterile bandage that you’ve soaked in the decoction.

When the bandage dries, soak it once again in the lilac leaves decoction, so it always stays wet. It’s important that the leaves don’t dry out because dried lilac leaves are rather harmful to burns. Remove the lilac leaves poultice and the bandage after 24 hours.

You’ll see that the first layer of burnt skin and burned derbies will come off easily. The burn will look clean and sterile. If the burn is more severe, repeat the process. You can use either fresh lilac leaves from the tree or dried ones. This is one of the most popular natural treatments for burns in Eastern Europe.
