Bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) is one of the most powerful natural medicines from the sunny coasts of Ancient Greece, praised by Hippocrates for the prevention of cholera and malaria epidemics, dysentery, and even childbirth pain. Avicenna believed that laurel is one of the most effective remedies for joint pain, apnea, as well as nervous tension. On the other hand, Galen knew that all parts of the laurel plant have antiseptic, antimicrobial, and calming effects. Let’s see how to make bay tincture and how to use it at home.

How to Use Bay Tincture at Home
Bay laurel tincture is a powerful remedy for throat and esophageal cancers. Here is how to use it at home for these conditions. Put 15 ml of bay tincture (you can measure with a syringe) in 50 ml of water or, even better, in a tea made by infusing 3 round fresh red-flowered geranium leaves in 300 ml of hot water. Keep the warm tea in your mouth for 20-30 seconds in a vertical position, then swallow it down. You can use a glycerin bay tincture instead.
In advanced stages, also add 10 drops of garlic juice and 4 tablespoons of plantain juice to the water/tea alongside the bay tincture. Every 5 days, increase the number of garlic juice drops by 5, until you have a tablespoon of garlic juice/day, then gradually decrease the garlic juice dosage, until you reach 10 drops. You may experience headaches and/or a burning sensation in the throat but do not interrupt the treatment for best results.
30 minutes after taking the remedy, have a spoonful of honey that you hold in your mouth as much as possible before swallowing. Alongside the honey, boil 2 teaspoons of elderflowers in 200 ml of water. Drink 2 tablespoons of this decoction 3-4 times a day before meals. Gargle with the remaining decoction 3 times a day, between meals. Before each gargle, warm the elderflower decoction a little bit.
