4 Old Tyrol Remedies for Circulatory Conditions
1. Blood Detox
For blood purification, dandelion and wild garlic are the most recommended Tyrol remedies. In case of high cholesterol levels, following a cure with horseradish can be beneficial (add fresh horseradish to all meals). Birch leaf tea is also beneficial in cleansing blood and the kidneys. Parsley tea is recommended as well (see kidneys), as it has a positive effect on high blood pressure.
2. High Blood Pressure
To normalize blood pressure, there are various plants with beneficial effects. First and foremost, wild garlic has a balancing effect on blood pressure: it lowers hypertension and raises hypotension. The tincture made from wild garlic bulbs is the most recommended, but the leaves can also be used. The recommended dosage is 12 drops, 2 times a day—in the morning and afternoon. Mistletoe tincture, which is more effective than mistletoe tea, is also a known Tyrol remedy for high blood pressure.
3. Low Blood Pressure
If you have low blood pressure (hypotension), you can try nettle tea or add it to your food. However, do not drink nettle tea for more than three weeks, as it is very powerful. Eva Lubke recommends one cup of nettle tea per day, prepared from one teaspoon of fresh, chopped nettle. Bring it to a boil, then remove the pot from the heat and let it infuse for 10 minutes. Strain, and it’s ready.
4. Poor Blood Flow
The most recommended Tyrol remedies are foot baths with burdock leaves and roots. Afterward, massage your feet with St. John’s Wort oil. Repeat the baths until you notice the foot circulation has increased (no more ice-cold feet). Ginkgo Biloba is also recommended for general poor blood flow.
