How to Make Pine Needle Tincture
Soak 2 tablespoons of coarsely chopped pine needles in 100 ml of food alcohol in a glass jar for 10 days. Shake daily. Strain the tincture through cheesecloth, into another glass jar, and allow to settle in the refrigerator for 6 days, for complete clarification. Gently transfer the clear tincture part into an amber bottle with a dropper. Leave out any residue that has settled on the bottom of the jar. The shelf life of the pine needle tincture is two years from the date of preparation. Shake before use. You can also use pine cones or pine buds instead of pine needles to make the tincture.

Pine needle tincture is a quick remedy for conditions affecting the respiratory tract, especially bronchitis, and pneumonia. In this case, you can have 30 drops of tincture added to a cup of linden tea, taken twice a day. Drinking a warm cup of pine needle tea/decoction twice a day can also help.
