Basil, a Natural Soporific Herb

Basil, a Natural Soporific HerbFor those of you who want to know more on the natural properties of basil, or simply have a hard time sleeping at night, the good news is that basil is a natural soporific herb and that basil tea puts you to sleep in no time. For real! Insomnia is the unpleasant side effect of prolonged stress and anxiety or a job that puts you to work even when you’re in bed trying to have a good night sleep.

Basil Tea, a Soporific Herb

All you need to do in order to regain that peaceful sleep you miss so much is to prepare a simple basil tea as follows.

  1. Add 1 tablespoon of dried and minced basil leaves into 200 ml of hot water.
  2. Let the basil infuse for 10 minutes and the sweeten with honey.
  3. Drink this tea with small sips and then right to bed. 

It is possible that the first night you drink this tea you won’t feel any difference. Hence, repeat the treatment tomorrow, but this time have 2 teas per day, one in the morning and another one before bedtime.
