Jean Valnet’s Spring Detox Juice Recipes

1. Liver & Bile Detox and Revitalization

Harvest the young stems and leaves of the medicinal plants before flowering. For this spring detox juice, use a slow juicer to prepare a cup of healing juice with the following plants:

  • long-flowered primrose stems (Primula halleri) – 1 small handful
  • common fumitory (Fumaria officinalis) – 2 large handfuls
  • heartsease (Viola tricolor) – 2 large handfuls
  • chicory (Cichorium intybus) – 2 large handfuls
  • dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) – 2 large handfuls

To benefit from the detoxifying and revitalizing properties of these healing plants, drink 1-2 cups of fresh juice a day for two weeks straight.

2. Green Juice for Anemia & Fatigue

– use stems and leaves before flowering –

  • peppermint – 1 small handful
  • common hop stems (Humulus lupulus) – 2 large handfuls
  • sorrel (Rumex acetosa) – 2 large handfuls
  • menyanthes (Menyanthes trifoliata) – 2 large handfuls

  • watercress (Nasturtium officinale) – 2 handfuls
  • common scurvygrass (Cochlearia officinalis) – 3 handfuls
