How to Make Fir Needle Tincture
Soak 2 tablespoons of coarsely chopped fir needles in 100 ml of food alcohol in a glass jar for 10 days. Shake daily. Strain the tincture through cheesecloth, into another glass jar, and allow to settle in the refrigerator for 6 days, for complete clarification. Gently transfer the clear tincture part into an amber bottle with a dropper. Leave out any residue that has settled on the bottom of the jar. The shelf life of the fir needle tincture is two years from the date of preparation. Shake before use. You can also use fir cones or fir buds instead of fir needles to make the tincture.
Tip! The most convenient source for the fir needles is the Christmas tree, at the end of the winter holidays.
