Nephritis is a condition that appears when there is an inflammation of the nephrons in the kidneys. Often times caused by infections, toxins, and auto-immune diseases, nephritis can be cured the natural way with the help of herbs and other dietary advice. 

This is a simple home remedy for nephritis based on two simple herbs that you can buy from your local natural drug store.

Home Remedy for Nephritis with Bearberry

This simple cure for nephritis is easy to do and really effective if you follow the steps exactly.

  • Pour ¼ l of water over 1 or 2 teaspoons of bearberry leaves (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi). 
  • Let the tea infuse between 12 to 24 hours. 

Make sure you don’t boil the water because high temperature permits the polyphenols to get into the water and have a bitter taste and can be irritating.

  • Stir every now and then and when the time has passed slip, heat up just a little bit.
  • Have 2-3 cups of this tea daily. 

As simple as it sounds, this is an effective home remedy for nephritis.

Attention! Don’t use bearberry leaves tea more than a week in a row and more than 5 times per year! Don’t follow this natural remedy if you are pregnant or breastfeeding! It is not recommended for children under 12 also! It is not recommended for patients that have heart problems because it amplifies the activity of the glycosides and it can cause arrhythmia.

Goldenrod Tea Is a Remedy for Nephritis

In addition to the remedy above, drink goldenrod tea (Solidago virgaurea L.) as follows.

  • Pour 150 ml of boiling water over 3-5 g of goldenrod and let it infuse for 10 minutes. 
  • Have three cups a day. 

While following this simple cure don’t drink coffee or green tea because these drinks irritate the kidneys and the bladder.
