3 Medicinal Recipes with Cabbage Rose

1. Cabbage Rose Tea Recipe

Steep 2 tablespoons of dried and coarsely chopped cabbage rose flowers into 250 ml (1 cup) of boiling water for 30 minutes, then strain the tea. Sweeten to taste with raw honey.

2. Cabbage Rose Tincture Recipe

Soak 2 tablespoons of dried and coarsely chopped cabbage rose flowers in 100 ml of food alcohol or a homemade distilled alcohol, for 10 days. Shake daily. Strain the cabbage rose tincture through a piece of cheesecloth, and then allow it to settle in the refrigerator for 6 days, for complete clarification. Gently transfer the clear part into another bottle, leaving out any residue that has settled on the bottom of the bottle. Store the cabbage rose tincture in amber glass bottles with a dropper. The shelf life of cabbage rose tincture is 2 years from the date of preparation. If deposits are observed during storage, shake the bottle before use.

3. Cabbage Rose Wine Recipe

Add 2 tablespoons of dried and coarsely chopped cabbage rose flowers into one liter (4 cups) of red wine, and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat, and leave aside for 10 days, stirring daily. Strain the medicinal wine through a clean piece of cloth, leaving the bottom residue out. Allow to decant for 6 days in the refrigerator, so that the clear part further separates from the residue deposited on the bottom of the bottle.

After the final strain, pour the medicinal wine into a clean amber bottle and fill it up with more red wine so you have one liter of cabbage rose medicinal wine in total. Seal and keep in a cool place. The cabbage rose medicinal wine has a validity period of 2 years, if the wine is of good quality.
