How to Harvest Quince
5 Old Healing Recipes with Quince
1. Quince Seed Gel for Constipation
Ingredients
- 1 part quince seeds
- 5 parts rose petals cold maceration
- 2 parts poplar tincture (Populus nigra)
How to Make and Use
Pour the rose petal infusion over the quince seeds and leave aside for a few hours to make a cold maceration. It will turn into a jelly, as quince seeds contain a lot of mucilage. Then add the poplar tincture, mix to homogenize, and finally put the gel in the small glass jars.
Consume the gel in one day, as it is very vulnerable to the action of various microorganisms. Or, pour it into an ice cube mold, and keep it in the freezer for later use. If you have particularly sensitive skin or if you want to apply the gel topically to the eye area, skip the tincture and use 7 parts of the rose infusion instead of 5. This is one of the most healing recipes with quince seeds.
