Is There an Effective OTC Alternative for Hydroxychloroquine? Yes!

by Andreea Laza

Looking for an over the counter alternative for hydroxychloroquine? We want to reveal to you here a powerful OTC that can help you prevent COVID-19.

Hydroxychloroquine has known a lot of publicity lately, as a possible treatment for COVID-19. US President Trump has mentioned the use of hydroxychloroquine with zinc and azythromicin as an effective treatment for COVID-19 since March 2020.

Ever since there’s been a lot of heat surrounding hydroxychloroquine. We have also written an article on natural alternatives for hydroxychloroquine that you can read here.

More Doctors Support Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19

During all this time the mainstream media has been fighting hard to dismantle hydroxychloroquine as being a possible use against COVID-19. But more medical doctors have raised their voices in supporting hydroxychloroquine for the novel coronavirus.

One of them is New York Dr. Zev Zelenko, who has sent president Trump an e-mail about his protocol against COVID-19. Here is a video of Dr. Zelenko speaking about his protocol:

At the end of July, there was a medical conference held by “America’s Frontline Doctors” where doctors spoke out about how they used hydroxychloroquine with zinc and z pack (azythromicin) to treat their COVID-19 sick patients. Some said that they didn’t lose any patient lives using this treatment.

Their video made headlines around the world.

Dr. Simone Gold (@drsimonegold), one of the doctors that took the stand, was fired from the hospital she was working in a few days after the conference video became viral on Twitter. I leave you the main part of the conference here:

Meanwhile, big tech and media has fought hard to mock hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for COVID-19. As a result, medical doctors in different US states are not allowed to prescribe hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 patients, because the state officials have banned it.

Yes, we live in a time where politics, big tech and the mainstream media rule over the act of medical practice. But there’s hope, always.

So, Is There an OTC Alternative for Hydroxychloroquine?

Yes, there is. According to Dr. Zelenko, the best over the counter substitute for hydroxychloroquine is quercetin. Here is his tweet from Sunday, August 16 2020. Below is the print screen of his tweet.

Quercetin is a bitter-tasting flavonol, just la hydroxy, that is mainly found in the bark of the oak tree (Quercus). In food you can find quercetin in capers, sorrel, radish leaves, carob fiber, dill, cilantro and other leafy greens and veggies. It is actually quite widely-spread.

The good news is that quercetin supplements are very popular and easy to find in stores.

Dr. Zelenko’s OTC Alternative for Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 Prevention

When hydroxychloroquine is not available, Dr. Zelenko recommends the following OTC treatment in the early stages of COVID-19 as an alternative for hydroxychloroquine. He recommends this treatment immediately after the first symptoms of the flu.

In addition, he also recommends natural Vitamin C to boost the immune system even more. He recommends:

  • Vitamin C 1000 mg – 1 a day for 7 days.

This is the OTC alternative for hydroxychloroquine recommended by NY doctor Zev Zelenko. For more information, you can look up Dr. Zelenko’s Twitter account @zev_dr.

Dr. Zelenko’s OTC Prophylaxis for COVID-19

As a prevention treatment, Dr. Zelenko recommends the OTC alternative for hydroxychloroquine above without the antibiotic (azythromicin). His prophylaxis for COVID-19 is the following:

  • Quercetin 500 mg / one a day.
  • Zinc 25 mg (elemental zinc) / one a day (read also natural sources of zinc).
  • Vitamin C 1000 mg / one a day.

Prophylaxis – dosage?

Hello, how long should I take trio quercitin, zinc, vitamin C? You say once a day but not how many days ?

Dr. Zev Zelenko recommends as prophylaxis 1 capsule of quercetin 500 mg a day, 1 capsule of zinc 25 mg (elemental zinc), and 1 capsule of natural Vitamin C 1000 mg a day (not ascorbic acid). He did not mention for how long one should follow this cure, but given these are natural supplements I personally don’t see any problems in following this prophylaxis for longer periods of time. To rest assured, you can ask a naturopath or herbalist doctor regarding this matter, or an open-minded physician, if you, by chance, know any. Much health to you!

Andreea Laza, if ascorbic acid isn’t vitamin C, then what is the chemical name of “natural vitamin C” to which you alluded in your reply to Tim on February 7, 2021?

Natural vitamin C is extracted from rose hips, acerola, camu camu and other fruits and herbs, while ascorbic acid is the chemical name for synthetic Vitamin C produced in a laboratory. The two comporte differently when entering the human body, natural Vitamin C is healing while synthetic ascorbic acid is like a pale reminder of Vitamin C. Much health to you, I hope you’ve found the information here helpful! ♥️

Could you use the same dosage for pre-teenage children ages 11 and 15?
